Exhibition: "Les Formes de la Forêt"

With "Forest Forms", Megève presents an exhibition devoted to the artistic dimension of wood, a material that's very much present in the hearts and day-to-day lives of the local people.

The Edith Allard modern and contemporary arts centre exhibits the works of eleven contemporary sculptors. The items represent various sculpting techniques such as woodturning, marquetry, cabinetmaking, engraving. They have been created by some remarkable, well-known studios of France as well as four European guest artists including a wood sculptor from Ukraine, two from England and on from Switzerland, hence demonstrating Megève's international orientation. In all, about 40original pieces will be on display, of which about fifteen were made specifically for this exhibition.
